ACT Government

Chief Minister: Andrew Barr

The ACT Government is committed to achieving carbon neutrality of its own operations by 2020 and net zero emissions by 2050. The Government is demonstrating leadership in reducing greenhouse gas emissions across a range of climate strategies, such as a green vehicles stamp duty scheme to provide incentives for uptake in low emissions vehicles. This and other actions are encompassed by the AP2 Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan 2012, and Climate Change Adaptation Strategy 2016.
