Mayor: Jill Whittaker
The City of Campbelltown declared a Climate Emergency in late 2019 and has been working hard to develop a strategy to measure, manage and reduce emissions as well as help its community to become more resilient in the face of a changing climate.
The council believes that it has a responsibility to lead and protect the City such that it might be able to not only survive, but thrive through a changing climate.
Over the years, Council has been putting in consistent efforts to address climate change. Recently, it is in the process of finalising a systemic approach through the development of a Climate Solutions Strategy and Action Plan.
